About the Editor
Tom LaPointe is the Editor and Publisher of Student Pilot World. He is also the Publisher and Executive Director of The Knowledge Group, an online learning company for the legal, tech, and finance industries. Tom holds a PPL and plans on obtaining a seaplane and an IFR rating this year. Tom offers much of his own personal insight to help students avoid some of the costly gotcha’s he encountered while training for his PPL. Tom is also an avid SCUBA diver.
